College Experience Survey

The COLLEGE EXPERIENCE SURVEY (CES) is an annual survey of students in various colleges and universities across the Philippines that aims to understand the college experience from the viewpoint of the students themselves. Developed and implemented by the FPPC in cooperation with partner universities and colleges, the survey hopes to provide relevant information and insights to school administrators, faculty, and other stakeholders about the experiences, issues, and conditions of students as they navigate their way through college life.

Our primary goal

The CES endeavors to identify external drivers of change in student behavior, determine which components of the college experience have made a heavy impact on student perception and involvement, and provide information for institutions in assessing their perceptions and needs.

The main objective is to track the impact of a college education on the way students think and behave, to aid schools in making the appropriate and relevant adjustments to their respective curricula, services, and policies.

How to support CES

The CES presents a valuable and unique opportunity for corporate sponsors to engage with the next generation of leaders!

Through partnerships with the CES, sponsors can include customized rider questions in the survey, which can generate insights that align with their organizational priorities. In addition, sponsors may support CES events, contributing to important conversations on student life, policy, and education.

For sponsorship inquiries or more information, please contact FPPC Program Manager Arjay Mercado via email at amercado@feu.edu.ph.

Implementation Process

The FPPC will request for student enrollment lists from the school containing relevant information that would assist in determining the survey sample, guided by laws and guidelines on data privacy.

From these lists that cover first to fourth year students, we will generate a random sample of respondents who will be surveyed by the partner school.

The FPPC will provide unique survey links for every year level in the partner schools.

Once the survey links are received, the schools may commence with the survey proper. Only the students from the random sample list shall be surveyed.

The FPPC will periodically communicate with partner schools to inform them about the status of responses.

After the survey period, the data is extracted from the server in a raw file. Data from all partner schools are compiled, prepared and managed for analysis.

The FPPC will generate and send aggregate and individual reports to partner schools.
