Youthworks Policy Paper on Career Optimism among the Youth – FPPC’s first externally-funded research project on Career Guidance and School-to-Work transition builds on this ongoing College Experience Survey (CES).  The students belong to Generation Z and are about to enter the workforce. Additional survey questions shall be added to the existing questionnaire to better grasp the career motivations and factors influencing students’ career-related choices, particularly related to the following: optimism in terms of finding employment, existing platforms of career guidance in schools available to students, and use of labor market information in career guidance and career education This project is meant to influence private sector and government policies on career advisement services for students, ultimately hoping to achieve more informed career decision making (ie based on industry knowledge).
