Developed by the FEU Public Policy Center (FEU PPC), this paper synthesizes insights from roundtables and focus group discussions on the urgent issue of disinformation, misinformation, and malinformation in the digital space of the Philippines. It seeks to spark dialogue, surface diverse perspectives, and highlight the complex forces shaping our information ecosystem.
The paper explores how platform design, user behavior, and political incentives contribute to the spread of harmful content. These issues are made even more pressing by the country’s high social media use, digital literacy gaps, and polarized environment.
